May Group Watercolor on Wednesdays at Bayou Arts Center
“Explorations in The Nature of Watercolor the medium that doesn’t like to be bossed.”
Join me at the Cultural Arts Alliance Bayou Arts Center on Wednesdays from 12:30-3:30 for a weekly class based on an exploration into the nature and process of painting with watercolors. Includes traditional and explorative techniques using primarily transparent paints to achieve both loose and realistic compositions. Different themes are offered each month, you may use the provided image or bring similar image. Each month’s topic and skills are patterned by the Tuesday class offerings. A supply list and reverence materials will be provided after registration. For a nominal fee a small courtesy supply kit available as well by requesting in advance.

- Have you ever struggled trying to develop a background to your composition only to find that it just didn’t fit, or perhaps it took the stage and overwhelmed your piece? This month we will build a portfolio of background references to have in your bag of tricks while completing a simplified floral.
- This is a 1-2-class project for each floral, depending on skills! The class is suitable for adults with minimal to some experience with painting.
- Whether you’re an experienced artist or just beginning your artistic journey these three weekly sessions provide a welcoming space for artistic exploration, fostering a supportive community of fellow enthusiasts. Unleash your creativity, learn the nuances of watercolor, and join us in this exciting journey to bring your artistic visions to life

- You may also order a limited supply kit prior to class below which will include paints, paper and "loner" brushes.
