Weekly 2-hour beginner friendly journal building classes are focused on mastering techniques of binding construction. Skills in basic binding are enhanced when combined with various functional decorative additions to the pages.
Different journals for different purposes are planned for each month. Examples: Folio, hard bound, art (watercolor) journal, Midori travel style, accordion, and decorative folded coffee table books. Typically, 1-3 enhancement elements are introduced in each class depending on complexity. The basic consumable supplies and class sharing of teacher’s supplies are included with class fee.
Classes and workshops are scheduled with up to 10 participants for adults with a desire to work creatively in paper crafts. This month’s description is below.

The 2-hour beginner friendly journal building class is focused on VARIOUS techniques of binding construction. November and December we are enhancing our bound journals with various functional decorative additions to the covers and pages. Different journals for different purposes are planned. Examples: Folio, hard bound, art (watercolor) journal, travel Midori style, accordion, and decorative folded display books. Typically, 3-4 enhancement elements are planned for this class depending on complexity. If you missed out on the journal build, I’ve got a fix for that just contact me.
- Journaling Class Spires Gallery in Niceville: Tuesdays in November 3, 17, 2026, 1-3:00.
In this class, we will build-out our journals from last week with cover décor. Together, we will explore creative interactive embellishments that add function and meaning. Like: interior pockets, tags, tip-ins, fold outs, flip ups expansions and general fun! - Classes and workshops are scheduled with up to 10 participants for adults with a desire to work creatively in journal building and decorative paper crafts.
- Supplies: Upon Registration students will receive an automatic download folder link with a supply list,prep information, and inspiration photo(s). This Dropbox link will be at check out in your welcome email. (You do not have to have Dropbox to open or save this file to your devices). Please contact me by email if you have trouble opening your files. The basic construction supplies with class sharing of teacher’s supplies are included in the class fee (a $7+ value).
- Exciting news this month your class purchase will include a free printable download of decorative papers for use in class or future personal projects. So register ahead so you can print out your freebies.
